Oganiz is coming soon to Android and Apple iOS. It is not yet available to download, so some items below describe how we will operate at launch.

2. Privacy law

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. In practice that means we:

  • explain what we collect and why, in our privacy statement (APPs 1 and 5);
  • collect only what we need and use it for the purposes described (APPs 3 and 6);
  • take reasonable steps to protect it and to delete it when no longer needed (APP 11);
  • take reasonable steps before sending information overseas (APP 8); and
  • let you access and correct your information (APPs 12 and 13).

The regulator is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

3. Data breaches

Under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess it quickly, and where required tell the affected people and the OAIC, including what happened and what they can do to protect themselves.

4. Children and families

Oganiz is for adults to set up and manage, with family members, including children, added by an adult organiser. We do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts, and we collect the minimum about children that is needed to show their plans and chores. We will review our practices against the Children's Online Privacy Code when it is registered by the OAIC.

If something harmful happens online, you can report it to the eSafety Commissioner (see the table below).

5. Consumer law

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. We aim to describe Oganiz accurately, including which features are available and which are still coming. The consumer regulator is the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), and each state and territory also has a fair trading agency.

6. Marketing messages

We send marketing emails or messages only with your consent, as required by the Spam Act 2001 (Cth). Each one identifies us and has a working unsubscribe link. Service messages, such as security alerts or account notices, are not marketing. The regulator is the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).

7. App store requirements
